The Los Angeles Symphonic Winds is comprised of approximately 100 members, led by Maestro Stephen Piazza. The Los Angeles Symphonic Winds present a six concert subscription series before sold-out houses in the beautiful Performing Arts Education Center on the campus of picturesque, suburban Calabasas High School, in Calabasas California.
Membership in the Los Angeles Symphonic Winds is limited to those accepted following a short audition process, which may include playing individually for the section leader or director, and sitting in on a rehearsal. It is advisable to come to a rehearsal prior to auditioning to get a feel for the group and its music. Guests are welcome to listen anytime. If you wish to audition, please contact us to determine the next appropriate date and to get specific information on auditioning.
Rehearsals are held from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM on select Mondays.
