Subscription Concert 4 – “Heartbeats and Heartbreaks—A Post-Valentine Potpourri of Love, Legend and Loss”
Join your internationally acclaimed Los Angeles Symphonic Winds and critically acclaimed vocalists Roberto Perlas Gomez, Christina Kushnick and Megan MacDonald for a spectacular afternoon of some of the world’s most beloved melodies. Set in the picturesque surroundings of Malibu’s Pepperdine University campus, we’ll feature highlights from West Side Story and Porgy and Bess as well as love-themed operatic classics by Massenet, Ponchielli, Prokofiev, Puccini, Saint Saens and Wagner. And we’ll also present the world premiere of award-winning composer Maria Newman’s Wind Symphony setting of the Old Testament story, “Le Livre D’Esther”. Join us for this special event on Sunday afternoon, February 22, 2:30 pm at the Smothers Theater of Pepperdine University.

BBQ Dinner with Patriotic & Rock Music

Subscription Concert 7 – Salute our nation’s Independence and support our veterans at a fun-filled afternoon of popular and patriotic classics featuring your LA Winds and the Cover/Tribute Band “Brass Roots Initiative”. Santa Maria style BBQ dinner included for Silver, Gold and Platinum subscribers. Craft beers, premium wines and soft drinks available. Festivities begin at 5:00 pm at the Birmingham Veteran’s Hall.
