Join us January 25 at 2:30 PM at the beautiful and acoustically welcoming Westminster Presbyterian Church in Westlake Village for a very unique and fascinating chamber music concert …… featuring members of your Los Angeles Symphonic Winds!
We’ll begin with the “Song of Angels Flute Orchestra” performing Christin Hablewitz’s exciting setting of “El Cascabel” followed by a journey to a forest wilderness in Charles Fernandez’s “Forest Stories”. The LA Winds Brass Quintet will then present Leonard Cohen’s iconic “Halleluia” and our own “First Flute Trio” will share their artistry in the highly evocative “Birds” by Herman Beeftink. Our Brass collegues (now expanded to 9!) will return for Erik Whitaker’s powerful “October”, and then we’ll fill the stage with the LA Winds Sax ensemble with Caryn Rasmussen’s innovative setting of Porgy and Bess.
Don’t miss this unique and intimate afternoon with your LA Winds family!
