- Bizet (arr. Borne, Shostac), “Carmen Fantasy for Flute and Wind Ensemble”
- Robert Smith, “The Inferno” from the Divine Comedy
- Intermission
- Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” with the SFV Master Chorale
Day of Concert Schedule for Band Members:
- All Woodwind Players: please bring a stand!
- 8:00am – Scherr crew arrives for setup.
- 11:00am – Percussion loads equipment. (click here for stage setup diagram)
- 11:00am – LA Winds Stage Crew arrives to make final adjustments to match diagram.
- 11:15am – Carmina Burana musicians arrive.
- 11:30am (to 12:30pm) – Sound check for Carmina Burana musicians. (40 singers on risers and 40 instrumentalists downstage with perc. on stage right) (stage mics lowered)
- 12:00 noon (to 1:00pm) – Scherr crew lunch break.
- 12:15pm – remainder of LA Winds musicians arrive.
- 12:45pm (to 1:45pm) – Sound check for all 85 LA Winds Instrumentalists on both risers, downstage and stage right for percussion.
- 12:55pm – SFV Chorale exits stage and locates their ticketed seat in auditorium.
- 1:45pm – Lunch break for all band members.
- 2:20pm – enter stage for concert. (Stage mics raised)
Concert begins at 2:30PM.
